Wendy's is here. Oh yes, you heard it right, the US based hamburger giant is now in India and is all set to woo your taste buds when it opens its first outlet in Gurgaon on 6 May. I got a little lucky and got a chance to pre-taste the delicious menu.
The outlet is located in the Sector 29 market, Gurgaon. Don't worry about getting there, it is pretty convinient to get there, either via metro or road.

Wendy's has come up with a well curated menu with a lot of varieties to appease the cravings of both vegetarians and non vegetarians foodies. For the vegetarians delight, there are good enough varieties for you from the classic Spicy Aloo Crunch to Paneer Salsa. If you want to try something different from the Indian flavours you can go for the Falafel or the Spinach and Corn burger.
For those like me who prefer the Non-Veg more also have a pool to choose your meal from. You can go for either Chicken, Mutton or Bacon burgers. Among these too you have an array of choices to suit you appetite. The Wendy's right now a good enough diverse menu to offer and plans on expanding it further soon.
Now lets get to the yummy part and let me let you about what I had. For my never ending love for spicy food, I had the Ghost Chilli Chicken burger and took Cheese Fries and a Vanilla Cola to go with it.
The burger was the trademark square patty bun burger which makes Wendy's stand out from its other counterparts and personally I liked the idea of square patty bun better. The burger had a chicken patty with a layer of cheese, lettuce and onions wrapped in a spicy sauce. The veggies were fresh as I could hear the crunch with every bite, the chicken was soft and juicy and the spices satisfied my taste buds. Talking of ingredients, at Wendy's you are going to taste the chillies and spices from Nagaland with freshly made sauces giving you flavors from around the world.. Coming back to the burger, it was quite filling but does not get heavy on your tummy, so you can have more bites from the menu, Though the burger was toothsome but I would have loved the burger even more if it was a little more saucy.

The fries were the standard potato fries with cheese on top.The cheese fries were decently good, but got a little soggy for the cheese over the top. You can also go for bacon fries if you prefer the snack heavy. The last thing on my meal was the Vanilla Cola which was the classic cola with a pinch of vanilla flavor. I generally don't order aerated drinks but this didn't feel like the usual and I enjoyed that. For drinks, you can opt for coolers like Lychee Delight & Watermelon Cooler or Cucumber Cooler, or Coffee varieties or even Tea. Wendy's got you covered on desserts too, you can choose from flavours of the frosty to end the meal on a sweet note.

The restaurant is very spacious with two sections. The decor is simple and decent and the staff is polite too. Being in a location like Gurgaon, you expect the restaurants to be pretty expensive and that's where Wendy's impressed me. You can have a nice fulfilling meal here without burning a hole in your pocket.
I had a pretty amazing time there and would totally suggest you to visit it when it opens its gate for all from 6th May. Do tell me how you liked in the comments section.
