A Meal in the Park: The Project at Park Balluchi

Wondering about sitting on a bench, having your meal around lush greens, with view of deers strolling around. Well I had my lunch just like this when I was at The Project at Park Balluchi, Hauz Khas. The place is recently opened inside the Deer Park, Hauz Khas and offers a lovely scenery with you sitting besides the deers separated just by a glass wall. You can reach the place very conveniently and can easily spot the restaurant once you get inside the Deer Park.

Okay so let's talk about the food. I with a friend of mine had a lot to eat. We ordered a Virgin Mojito, a Virgin Pinacolada, Mozzarella Bombs, Dips Bench, Murg Potli, a Grilled Vegetable and Goat's Cheese Pizza and Nutella and Banana Dessert Pizza.
To quench my thirst I started with a sip of Pinacolada and it was delightful. With each sip, I could taste flavours of the ingredients and it leaves you with a sweet aftertaste. The Virgin Mojito was classic with the refreshing minty taste. Though both the drinks were equally good but I personally liked the Virgin Pinacolada a little more.

On a friend's suggestion we ordered the Mozzarella Bombs and I so owe her for that. The Mozzarella Bombs are crispy balls filled with risotto rice and mozzarella cheese...lots of cheese. You get mint mayonnaise for the dip and it goes well with the crispy balls. The Mozzarella Bombs are not too spicy neither too plain, just apt and delish. I loved those little balls of cheese. You got to try it whenever you are here.

The next dish that came was the Dips Bench .The name says it all. You are served with. 3 dips, beet root, humus and moutabel along with dipsticks and pita bread. The sticks were salty and crispy and went well with all the dips and the bread was fluffy and soft . Of all the dips, I found the beet root dip the most, it was a little tangy with right amount of sweetness. Also, it looked the prettiest of them all.

The Murg Potli tasted decently good. Minced lamb wrapped up in soft chicken covering was good but a little dry for my taste. The menu says that it is served on a burning sword, but to my disappointment, it was nothing as such. After this, we had the Grilled Vegetables and Goat's Cheese pizza. The thin crust of the pizza was crispy topped up with aubergine (brinjal/eggplant),bell peppers and lots of cheese. Folks at The Project love to fill you up with cheese. But the dish that took my heart away was the Nutella and Banana Dessert Pizza. All the Nutella lovers this one is for you. Crushed walnuts in nutella coated crust topped up with bananas and chocolate sauce was just heavenly. This one tops my must haves list at The Project.

The restaurant is very spacious, with 2 sitting sections and an outdoor seating too .The bar area is quite big and the interiors are just the glass walls and a art piece at the entrance. The pricing of the restaurant menu lies somewhere between pocket friendly and expensive. It is a very nice location for a lunch or a dinner date, specially if the weather is cool and breezy. I loved the location of the restaurant, you can enjoy your meals here so close to the nature and escape away from the honks and hustle outside.
